Who they are
The Righteous Path appears in the novel's first lines as a coalition on the hunt.
Today, the revered sects of the Righteous Path have united with a single purpose, to trample your demonic lair into dust.
Chapter 1, paragraph 2
What the novel does with them
It does not let them be simply heroes. They surround a dying man, they want what he is carrying, and they offer him a quick death in exchange for it.
Hand over the Spring Autumn Cicada without struggle, and I shall grant you a quick death!
Chapter 1, paragraph 1

None of them dared make a move; every soul among them trembled before the final, dying wrath of Old Demon Fang.
