Who they are
The Xiong Clan inhabits Xiong Village upon Qing Mao Mountain, forming one leg of the uneasy tripod of power on the mountain alongside the Gu Yue Clan and the Bai Clan.
Both Bai Village and Xiong Village have seen remarkable talents emerge over recent years.
Chapter 1, paragraph 41
Their position on the mountain
While Bai Ning Bing has drawn the most alarmed attention from the Gu Yue elders, the Xiong Clan remains an active and dangerous competitor, regularly producing its own crop of capable young Gu Masters.
Why they matter
The presence of the Xiong Clan prevents either the Gu Yue or Bai clans from acting recklessly. The three factions maintain a watchful truce, competing intensely during each annual Aperture Opening Ceremony to secure superior cultivation talent.
